Yes I am willing to learn razor if it can avoid MVC.
So what is the easiest way to do CRUD by use of table in razor page from mdb access db file?

I recommend that you set aside time to learn Razor Pages in general.

Once you get a feel for Razor Pages , look into the JET NuGET package to connect to MS Access.

    https://www.nuget.org/packages/EntityFrameworkCore.Jet/

I recommend dropping MS Access and moving to a more robust database.  The use of MS Access could and probably will limit hosting choices.

MVC is one way to get HTML from the server to the browser.  If you are not planning to use MVC than what is do you plan to use?  You have to somehow load the JavaScript application/library which in turn will populate a table.

    Hi hkbeer,

According to your description,I suggest that you could use Jquery Grid. JqGrid is a JavaScript plugin that displays table-based data in a lot of different configurations. The data can be loaded from JavaScript array or be loaded from the server (in JSON or XML format). It supports client-side paging, sorting ,editing ,deleting and filtering on server-side. One can group the displayed data, create the data as pivot table (made aggregation of data), display the data in the Tree form creates subgrids and so on. One can easily implement tree variants of editing of local or remote data.

Here is the link, I hope it could you.

Thank you for pointing to the direction. Is there way in .Net Core, to get data in JSON from a mdb access db file
inside App_Data folder of my asp.net site without use of MVC? Do I still use connectionstring in web.config ?

I really wish to jump out from Web Form/Gridview/sqldatasource now but I really do not wish to use MVC. Thanks a lot.

    You misunderstand the technologies.

I'll assume the App_Data is in an ASP.NET Web Forms application.  One way solution is creating a [WebMethod] in an ASPX page that returns JSON.  The Core application will call the [WebMethod] using HttpClient.

Another solution is crafting an ASMX service in the Web Forms application.  Either way, you'll have two applications ASP.NET and Core.

I really wish to jump out from Web Form now but I really do not wish to use MVC. Thanks a lot.

Again, if you do not use MVC then what do you plan to user?  Razor Pages?
