Still can not view download report RRS feed

  • Question

  • In Dev Windows Phone, my account is trungmt2005@gmail.com

Today, I can not see my lastest download. The only thing is result of Tuesday, 18th, March.

These numbers of download are very important with me. Like Microsoft said: my bread and butter

Can any one in Microsoft support team check my account and give me an anwser?

Please feel free if you require money >"<.

PS: When I use Dev Center App, it also shows the result of Tuesday, 18th, March. Is there any problem with my account???

  • Hello
From what seems Microsoft has a deadline of two days to display the amount of downloads, but with my account also had the same problem.
My account appears only the total downloads of the 18th, I wonder why?

    Just relax and wait.

  • Same here,

on 19/03/2014 I had "normal" download numbers on 20th 0 and 21st just 75 and on 22nd it is gone to normal values.

  • Same.

On 20th all my apps show 0 downloads. On 21th some downloads but much lower than normal, and on 22th a bit more but still below the recent average.

Exactly my situation. Microsoft, this is not funny!!! Do something, you are not collecting the numbers manually on papers and then enter them into the database! it is digital world, fix your servers.

  • Hi,

number of downloads is shown as zero on 03/20 for all my apps.
Usually I have about 300 downloads/day for all apps in common.

Does anybody else have the same problem?

    more precise:

    20/3: 0
    21/3: 73

    best regards,

  • I am wondering.

Instead of advertising the phrase 'The smartphone reinvented', shouldn't in the future Microsoft advertise the phrase 'The DevCenter reinvented'?

I am really wondering if such an O/S can expand in popularity if developers are affected in this way on a permanent basis. Developers should be the 'bread and butter' of such O/S and it seems that the O/S is constantly 'off' that item.

Having such constant problems with the DevCenter, no new developers are joining, no new applications are being created and obviously no new people buy Windows Phones.

  • Hi,

I have exactly the same problem.  0 downloads on the 20th and very low on the 21st. My downloads have been steady past 20 days.

I am sure somebody stopped counting or crashed!!!

    Monday, March 24, 2014 12:46 PM
  • Same with us - zero downloads on 20th.
    Monday, March 24, 2014 12:53 PM
  • same here, zero on 03/20 and nine on 03/21.
    Is it temporary?
    Monday, March 24, 2014 2:00 PM
  •   Exatamente a minha situação. Microsoft, isso não é engraçado! Faça alguma coisa, você não está coletando os números manualmente em papel e, em seguida, inseri-los no banco de dados! é o mundo digital, consertar seus servidores.

That's it! I agree with you.

  • Same with me also, on 19/3 i get normal downloads but on 20/3 count dropped to 0 and on 21 its only 2 downloads on 22 it seems again to normal.

Why microsoft not saying anything about this issue?

This broken reporting issue is happening again and again. Why Microsoft not saying anything about this issue and resolve it permanently? Or we assume Microsoft itself do not want to fix this issue permanently as because it may want to take money of developers behind this issue.

  • +1, I usually have ~3500 downloads per day, down to zero and only up half way after that.

  • Problem is continuing, 20th 0 downloads and after that number of downloads much lower than normal!!!

Somebody much check that!!!Defenatly system is not counting!!

My new app is ready for publishing but under this situation i don't want to publish it now!!!!

    Tuesday, March 25, 2014 8:22 AM
  • Hello,

You can publish your application, this issue doesn't affect download, or payment.

It's only a bad count number, all real numbers are stored in the Market database, everybody will see correct values in few days.

  • Same, my 20th downloads number is 0. And the day 21 very few downloads

  • Hello,

Thank you for your reply, all my apps are free so i don't worry about payments just is good to monitor correctly specially if the app is new in the market!

  • @menfou1

The rankings of the applications are based on the downloads number. If you check on a lot of other forum threads (older ones) you will see that there are responses from MS employees that agree with it. Actually the ranking system gets messed a bit for that period of time where no downloads arrive.

That is really bad for someone that has created a very good application (worth of plenty downloads) since it will not get ranked in the correct position but probably much lower.

  • I'm also having this problem. I hope MS figures this out, as it hurts developers.

I just wish they are more open when such problems arise, as there is no official statement yet.

  • @Efthymios Kalyviotis

    Thank you for the info,

I think i ll wait till system is back to normal before publishing my new app!

Still no official announcement for the existing problem...

  • This was the response I got when I emailed support today.

"There was a known issue that affected download reporting late last week and our engineers are currently working to resolve it."

Just disclose the issue when it happens. Just be open with developers. An email Saturday morning would of been nice. I'm still showing zero for Friday and Saturday's numbers are still wrong.
