WIN7/64bit RRS feed

  • Currently we are working on a project where in we need to migrate all the users apps from windows XP to Windows  64 bit Operatin system.In that process currently we are analyzing on " Microsoft Visual SourceSafe 6.0".

    Need your help in understanding whether "Microsoft Visual SourceSafe 6.0" is compatible to use on windows 7 64bit OS.If not,what is the alternative product to be chosen in place of "Microsoft Visual SourceSafe 6.0".

    Also could you provide me the URL's from where i can find the details and required for internal audit purpose.

  • This really isn't a question for this forum.  But SourceSafe is not compatible with later Visual Studio's which is what you will want to be using with 64-bit.  The Microsoft product to replace it is Team Foundation Server see   There are a number of third party source control systems also, you need to decide what you requirements are for this work.
