How to use Google Visualization charts in windows 8 app

    Question

  • I am developing windows 8 app. I want to use google charts. I have included scripts-

     <script type="text/javascript" src="https://www.google.com/jsapi"></script>
        <script type="text/javascript">
            google.load('visualization', '1.0', {'packages':['controls']});
    </script>

    It causes exception that 'google is undefined'

    What I am doing wrong?

  • Hi Asha,

    The first thing you may need to confirm with Google is if they support Windows Store App.

    Anyway here is a way to find out root cause, comment the google.load(), and while debugging the app, switch back to Visual Studio to see what is the error thrown in console.

    If you download the related file to local, the problem "google is undefined" should be fixed. But still there could be a compatibility issue that you may confirm with Google.
