How to get clrver installed for .NET 4 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I just installed Visual Studio 2010 Express for C# and went to the visual studio command prompt and tried running clrver and it says it is not found!  I did a search for it but it isn't found!  Was it removed?  How to get it back?

  • Hi Pintoj,

    Thank you for your post.

The CLR Version tool (Clrver.exe) reports all the installed versions of the common language runtime (CLR) on the computer. The CLR Version tool is automatically installed with Visual Studio.
For more information, please see: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff427522.aspx

For your concern, could you please help me to check whether you can find Clrver.exe file on your machine?

If you cannot find it, please try to remove Visual C# 2010 Express Edition and reinstall it.

Hope this helps! If you have any concern, please feel free to let me know.

    Best regards,
