  • Question

  • Hi,

I have a .net/c# windows application, And I am creating a build using VS 2010. This generates an exe and MSI file.

When I install  this build, it creates a desktop icon with the text as my project name. I would like to change this desktop icon text to some custom text.

how can i change it? Please help me!

  • You can also rename the shortcut icon after installation .

The following are the steps to change the shortcut name in your set up file:

    1. Goto 'Application folder; of your set up project.

    2. Create shortcut of the 'Primary output from-----' file.

    3. Rename the shortcut file as you wish.

    4. drag in to user's desktop folder

    5. Build the setup project.
