Blend 4 to VS2010: shapes arc error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I've created a control in Blend 4 with Arcs.

But when it comes to use it in VS2010 this error is raised:

Le type 'Arc' est introuvable car 'http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/2010/drawing' est un espace de noms inconnu.

    It says in english:

Arc type is not found 'http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/2010/drawing' is an unknown namespace.

    Any idea ?

  • You must verify that your project has a reference to Microsoft.Expression.Drawing (C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Expression\Blend\Silverlight\v4.0\Libraries\Microsoft.Expression.Drawing.dll)

  • Odahan,

I have initially added the references to Microsoft.Expression.Drawing, as well as Microsoft.Expression.Shapes and Microsoft.Expression.Controls.

That is why I post my problem here ;-)

    Thanks anyway for your reply.

  • You know, there are not a thousand possibilities in such a case... If your project has the right references and if you draw a simple Arc, it must be drawn... If not there is certainly something enourmous you're missing.

Bugs exist, but not on so simple things.

Try to recreate a new project, adding an Arc. And this will work, else your setup has a big problem.

good luck, I'm sure it's so simple you can't see it...
