Excel Initialization Form Box RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I am having issues when other users click on a macro button in an Excel document that I have sent them that is connected to a database on my computer. This box pops up:

"Please enter Microsoft Access Database Engine OLE DB Initialization Information"

    Data Source: Database.accdb

    User Name: Admin

    Open Mode: DB_Mode_ReadWrite

After they hit ok, the macro runs. Is there a code that prevents this box from opening when they click on the macro and just runs?

    Thanks!

  • Hi joannalindsey01,

you said that you are getting the box like below.

is there any changes in the connection string?

anything get changed when you try to run the code or someone else try to run the code?

like data source is accessible by that user and username is correct or not.

try to check these details and if something is incorrect then try to correct it in your connection string.

so that it can work for any user.

    Regards

    Deepak
