Hello All, I'm new to Asp.Net and this forum. I'm trying to create a page that redirects you to a ftp site. When the page loads it gives me a page can not be displayed message. When I refresh that page then it prompts me for the FTP user name and passsword as it does when I type the url manually on the browser. I tried with a meta redirect also and it does the same. I don't understand why this is happening. here is the META sample <meta http-equiv=refresh content="1; URL="> here is the ASPX sample sub Page_Load(sender as Object, e as EventArgs) Response.Redirect("") End Sub Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time. Willymonster

    a) You can skip the :21 b) If you use a 'a href' to link, same behavior ? c) paste the IIS ftp log here.

Did you find a solution to this? This is a known issue with an IE setting (Show Friendly HTTP error messages). MS makes IE try an anonymous login to the FTP site automatically. On a "secure" FTP site the login fails and you get "Page cannot be displayed..." See my post "FTP Page cannot be displayed..." Thanks.
