    Question

  • Hi, i'm new in this community, i would like to ask if someone knows how to Make the Visual Studio 2012 Possible to run as Portable on Flash-drive. Because i don't have a Proper unit, and in that case i needed to rent on Cafe's just to make my projects.

  • Hi,

All Visual Studio versions, even the latest VS 2017, require installation on a hard disk / Windows Registry and cannot run as portable.

For your scenario consider a virtual machine on the cloud and use Remote Desktop to connect to it.

  • Hi Domingo Bagaforo,

Carlos J. Quintero’s reply is right, we need to install VS in a windows OS, we could not install it in a Flash-drive.

But you we could use virtual machine, I we could log in a OS everywhere.
