How can a multi forms project interact with a background process? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I would like to create an application in C# with many forms for a user to access while a background process interacts with a serial communications port.  My problem is in not knowing how the code for each form is able to interact with data sent and received with a common background process.  I assume that I need two cycling buffers for sending and receiving messages with start and end pointers.  But, I do not know how user inputs and received data can pass between the form code and the background code.  Can anyone help me, please?

  • It seems that you also have not decide how to design your this project.

I think you need to let the architecture forum experts help you to design it.

And then post your questions in a suitable forum for your development problems.

    Best wishes,
