Automated Deploy and Test of a WEC Image through TFS Workflow Automation RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello -

I am using Visual Studio 2012 build automation to generate a WEC2013 OS image. I have written Tux tests to verify the build and can run the Tux tests on a locally generated build through the CTK. What I would like to do is modify my TFS build workflow to automatically deploy the OS image to a virtual CePc and run the Tux tests, failing the build if the Tux tests generate any errors.

I have not been able to find any documentation on automated deploy and test of WEC2013 or WEC7 through TFS. Plenty of information on x86 / web automated deployment but nothing on WEC. Can anyone point me to some information or provide some guidance (is this even possible?). I have read up a little bit on Test controllers / test agents / the Lab environment / LabDefaultTemplate for workflow automation. Would I be able to accomplish what I want using these components?

    Any information is appreciated.

    Thanks & Regards,

    - Chris
