Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller - 1.0 (Microsoft) not compatible? Fails Kinect Verifier, New Dell Laptop RRS feed

  • Question

  • New Dell laptop, Fails Kinect Verifier under the USB test.

    <g class="gr_ gr_48 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar multiReplace" data-gr-id="48" id="48">Laptop</g> has the Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller - 1.0 (Microsoft) driver for the USB3 hardware.

Tried updating the driver through Dell, no love.

This is a very common chipset so I am not sure why this would be an issue?

  • Hi

I'm having the same problem with a new HP laptop. (Exact same USB controller)

Did you find a solution yet?

  • Also have issue with a MSI GS73VR 7 (Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller)

The kinect is recognized and is working but I get a lot of frame drop / stuttering.
Tried everything I found on this forum without luck.

I guess the problem comes from the drivers, but as Intel is not releasing drivers anymore, we're stuck with the Microsoft's devs incompetence...

    For a 2000+ € laptop it's a pain.

It is working fine with my old 5 years old MSI laptop, how the f**k that kind of things is possible ???

  • Same issue with Intel NUC7i3DNBE.

Previous generations (4th,5th) were working just fine.

    Did anybody find a workaround?
