Problems with Ordered Tests. Please, help me out ... RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hello,

    I created a VS 2012 Test named INSERT_DATA_TEST.

This test, as the name says, inserts data into a database.

While the data is inserted some logging to SQL takes place.

Everything works fine when I run the test alone.

I then created an orderedTest with only the INSERT_DATA_TEST in it

When I run it everything works fine ... But no Logging is saved on the database.

    I don't get any exception either ...

Any idea what might be going on?

    Thank You,

    Miguel

  • Hello MDMoura,

According to your description, I would like to know which type of test you are running.

As you said, the test can run fine alone, so I think that it is not related to the specific test.  Maybe you could try to add it into an ordered test and run the ordered test on another machine having the same VS2012 and check it.

Also you can create a simple unit test and add it into an ordered test in VS2012 and run the ordered test to see if the unit test can work fine.

In addition, you can add another test into the ordered test with Insert_Data_Test and run to see the result.

    Best regards,
