Office.context.mailbox.displayNewAppointmentForm() fails with undefined exception RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am creating an Apps for Office Mail app (1.1 API) and in the appointment compose form, I need to create a new appointment based on the current appointment.

I am finding that Office.context.mailbox.displayNewAppointmentForm() is undefined when running from Outlook Web Access.  Is there any way around this?

  • Hi Synergist,

As you can see from our official documentation (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/fp161098(v=office.1501401).aspx), we do not have this API available in our Compose mode.

What is the scenario you're trying to accomplish?

    Thanks for building,

  • Alex,

    Thanks.

I am trying to add an appointment right before the current appointment.

  • You can either use mailbox.makeEwsRequestAsync, or call our REST APIs https://msdn.microsoft.com/office/office365/APi/calendar-rest-operations and do this behind the scenes for the user.
