Deployment problem

    Question

  • Which minimal level of permission should be granted to user to be able to deploy solution from Visual Studio?

A usual user gets a UAC prompt and the following message:

...Error DEP0100 : Deployment failed due to the following Developer Licensing issue:

...The operation was canceled by the user. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800704C7)

    ...One or more errors occurred.

  • Hi Anton,

'Standard User' should have sufficient permission.  I just tried it on my other machine as a 'Standard User' and everything worked fine.

  • Hi Anton,

It seems your developer license is not valid for some reason.  Did this machine ever work correctly?

  • Yes. Everything's working fine if I work as administrator.

However, if I login with useer permissions I can't deploy applications just created and so I'd like to know which minimal level of permission should be granted to user to be able to deploy solution.

  • Ok, then. Thanks for trying it. Maybe we have some problems in ACL setup.
