Windows Store certification issue regarding SharpDX.D3DCompiler.dll Error

  • hi,

i am getting a certification error while trying to upload a .appx file to stores..

    • API D3DCreateBlob in d3dcompiler_46.dll is not supported for this application type. SharpDX.D3DCompiler.dll calls this API.

    pls suggest me a solution..

    Thanks in advance

  • Hello,

If you develop UWP app, you should upload .appxupload file through Dev Center Dashboard.

You need to make sure your app is compiled as a release build not a debug build, since the debug build of your app will fail this test even if your app uses only APIs for Windows Store apps.

As for the error message, the API D3DCreateBlob is supported only for Windows Store apps and not Windows Phone Store apps. You can delete the related dependency and reference and check documentation to find other APIs to use as alternatives for it.

Before resubmitting your app, you should use Windows App Certification Kit  tool to test your package. After your app passing all the WACK test, you can upload your package.

For more details, you can refer to Supported API test.
