App Snapping in desktop install

    Question

  • I have installed Win8devPreview in my desktop machine. I am using 4:3 LCD screen. When I try to snap the background app along with the current one in metro mode, it replaces the current app. Like it has been demoed in BUILD, is the app snapping just confined to touch screens or tablets?

  • Snapping applictions in metro mode requires a minimum resolution of 1024x768.  A resolution of 1024 x 600 won't work. Assuming the resolution is correct, when snapping, try to drag the application, and pause. You will see the current application "shrink" a little and then you will be able to snap.

  • Real McCoy,

What is your Screen resolution?  If it is below 1366x768 resolution, you won't able to use the split screen feature.
