How can I highlight the current running code line in IDE using VS2005 package RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Some code in my C# program would take long time to complete. I would like to highlight the current running code in VS2005 using a VS2005 package. Ideally it would be similar to what we see when a breakpoint is hit(there is a yellow arrow pointing to the break line which is highlighted by a yellow bar), or similar to what we see when we hit Pause button while the code is running(There is green arrow pointing to the break line which is highlighted by a green bar).

What I can do now is to select the current running code. by default, It would be a blue bar(I would prefer some other color). However, the blue bar would be gone If I click somewhere in the code window.

I don't want the highlighted bar disappeared after the code window is clicked. Also, I prefer an arrow or some icon pointing to current running code line.

Any way I can do so?
