How to deploy an Angular 10 app with Server Side Rendering (SSR) and ASP.net Core 3.x on Windows Azure? RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hi people, I have a commercial application that must be deployed on Windows Azure using WebApp but it's a complicated process to do so because of the Server Side Rendering mode. I use Windows Azure since many years and I wish to find a way to successfully deploy the app. I want to open this discussion to get feedback of people who are in the same boat and hoping to get a Step by Step instruction to successfully deploy the app with this technological stack: Angular 10, Server Side Rendering (SSR), ASP.net Core 3.x.

Yesterday I tried those things which failed:

    1. Create a new Azure WebApp
    2. Publish the App from Visual Studio Professional 2019 using Web - Deploy
    3. Result : Failed on node_modules (path too long > 260 characters)

    Scenario 2:

    1. Publish the App locally and uploaded it using FTP without node_modules
    2. Then, goto Kudu console and execute npm install with package.json
    3. Result: Failed

    Scenario 3:

    • Publish the App locally and uploaded it using FTP with node_modules
    • Result: Failed on node_modules (path too long > 260 characters)

I can't figure a way to use the Server Side Rendering with Windows Azure. It is a complicated process and other than to switch web hosting, I prefer to ask you for solutions because I like Windows Azure overall. The app works perfectly in local using Server Side Rendering.

    Best regards,

    Samantha
