Azure File Storage - How to build the authorization heather version 2015-04-05 to use REST apis

    Question

  • Hi all,

I'm crazy trying to build the authorization heather for q REST apis requests using the x-ms-version=2015-04-05.

I've read a lot of Microsoft's documentation but I'm very confusing because sometimes the information is talking about blobs and not about File storage, or it depends on the used version, and so on..

So, it is that I can't build the correct authorization heather to call REST apis and I would like to because I have to do a PoC on this.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks

  • Hi again,

At the end, I get a valid request using the information in this article https://msdn.microsoft.com/library/mt584140.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396.

However, I would like to pass the parameters by headers, not by querystring. I try to pass the next headers doing the same request: x-ms-version (2015-04-05), x-ms-date and Authorization (SharedKey myaccount:passing the same authorization token I get above) but I get the next error : 'Authentication information is not given in the correct format. Check the value of Authorization header'

So, does anyone know how to transform the querystring parameters request into headers parameters with the same information? or it is not possible?

Thanks a lot for your help.

  • Marta, have you seen the following articles:

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/library/mt584140.aspx

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn140255.aspx

Also, if you can tell me which language you are using, we can point you to the relevant client library and code.
