  • Question

  • In the project of tdi_fw(tdi_fw.c), there are a piece of code, I always look not to understand.

Here is a sentence to get NO_MORE_STACK_LOCATIONS, what circumstances would this happen?

    Thanks

  • the problem is that you are hooking the stack and the sender of the irp is not using the top of stack's StackCount value, rather a fixed value for the number of stack locations. under normal operations without your hooking driver, that fixed value is fine. since your driver adds a stack location, you can now run out of stack locations in the irp.

is it correct for the upper driver to have a fixed value? no. is hooking supported? no, not that either, so there isn't a component you can point the blame solely at.
