[U8.1] No information in stack traces in the Dashboard RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have a Universal App in the store, both for Windows 8.1 and for Windows Phone 8.1. In the health section, there is a list of failures, each of which can be expanded and then a stack trace can be opened.

The problem I have is that the stack traces contain no information other than offset for any of my modules. Here's an example:

I figured it is related to missing symbols. However, I know there are symbols for all my modules inside the appxupload package inside the appsym for every architecture.

For what it is worth, my app consists of a C++ module, a few C# modules that depend on the C++ module, plus my main App which is also written in C#.

I get this problem both with stack traces for C# and C++ exceptions/crashes.

I also want to note that the debug settings for the build I submit to the store is using a RelWithDebInfo build that, when using mixed debugging with Visual Studio lets me step from C# straight into C++ code with no problems.

I have been searching for ways to get this data to show up, but to be honest I am stumped. Is there a full guide on what sort of settings to enable in VS2013 in order to get the most out of the Store's crash reporting? I've read the guide about
Reviewing app quality and I don't feel like I can get anything else out of it.

    Thanks in Advance,
