  • Hi,

one try when uninstalling Visual Studio is to call the setup (e.g. from ISO image) with /uninstall /force parameters.

When you apply the /force parameter there will be some kind of uninstall tool that really cleans up the system if required and not just starts the msiexec uninstall of a package (which can fail if the installation is corrupt).

    With kind regards,

    Konrad

  • Mount the iso with Visual Studio. And then start the vs_<edition>.exe (e.g. vs_community.exe) with /uninstall /force arguments

So if the ISO is mounted as f: inside a cmd window you could type

    f:

    vs_community /uninstall /force

    With kind regards,

    Konrad

  • Hi Xewyph,

I strongly recommend you to try Konrad's proposed solution to try uninstall Visual Studio with cmd force switch you can do it like this:

Open ISO fajl (extract it or mount it) than navigate to folder with vs_community.exe file and in cmd execute it like this:

    YOUR_DRIVE:\ vs_community.exe /uninstall /force
Hope this was helpful for you...

    Best regards!
