Should I ever create an Access database to support an Excel solution now when PowerPivot exists? RRS feed

  • I regularly create Excel based solutions at my company.

    There have been times when information about many different objects have needed to be saved and accessed by the Excel based solution.

    Now I can create relational models with PowerPivot.

    Should I under any circumstances still create Access databases for my Excel based solutions, of should I save the data in Excel tables that are related using PowerPivot?
