KINECT V2 - SDK (Align depth to color and floor plane) RRS feed

  • I am developing my application with the new kinect 2. What really i'm doing is to substitute in my application the old sensor kinect v1, with the new version of the sensor kinect v2. 

    In my old application i used kinect sdk which provide to get the following information:

    - depth map with resolution 800 x 600

    - color image with resolution 800 x 600

    - depth map lined up to color image

    - world coordinates of depth points

    - world coordinates of color points

    - cx,cy,cz, q floor plane coefficient of plane equation

    Actually i've been able just to take depth and color image. But no ones of the other data. 

    My question is which of the data listed i am actually able to acquire with the new sdk?

  • all of it. depth image is 512x424, color is 1920x1080. Using coordinate mapper api's will align depth to color frame. In the new v2 api's, world space is considered "CameraSpace". Floor plane is part of the Body tracking api's. Refer to the samples in the SDK Browser.
