Code Example for Finger Gestures RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there any examples on how to use the Kinect SDK with tracking finger gestures?  Meaning, does it have the resolution ( and code demo ) to show how to see finger movements.  Example.  Pinch or other patterns to click buttons or pan through a list of items.

    Thanks

  • Sorry, the tracking SDK performs is only done at the level of whole human body, at the granularity of joints such as left knee, right hip, spine and neck. If you want to do finger gesture tracking, you would have to implement an algorithm for that yourself, using the provided depth stream, from which you can infer 3D coordinates of visible obects.

    Hope this helps,
