What tool for impact analysis on the IS (.Net / Oracle) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

The company where I work is developing more and more applications (executables, extranets / intranets, WebServices) closely related to each other by :
    - access to the same database tables
    - execution of common stored procedures (PL/SQL)
    - call to WebServices
    - pooling of C# code through DLL files

We mainly work in .Net context (C #, ASP.Net, Entity Framework ...) and Oracle.

The complexity of our information system increasing, we are looking for a tool to manage dependencies, to perform impact assessments, and answer such questions as:
    - What are the programs that access the table X (.Net, PL/SQL ...).?
    - If I change the WebService X, what programs are affected?
    - What are the programs that use the DLL X?
    - What are the programs that call PL/SQL stored procedure X (.Net, PL/SQL ...).?
    - Etc.

Do you know any tools (open source or proprietary) of mapping / dependency management that can respond to our problem, in this technological context?

If you've had the same problem, how did you treated?
Thank you in advance for your answers
