British driving on left RRS feed

  • Question

  • When I use Bing Maps to calculate a route, it takes me anticlockwise around roundabouts. Do they not know that we drive on the left in Britain?

  • Bing maps does account for this, but you have to have the culture set to en-GB otherwise it will default to en-US and go around roundabouts in the correct manner.

  • I'm able to reproduce this in both the API and the consumer site. It seems to be limited to the icon that is being shown for the roundabout. The map shows the correct way around the roundabout. I'll log this as a bug with the development team so it can be fixed in a future update.
