DB independant SQL RRS feed

I know that the DAAB allows for the dynamic connection to any RDBMS based on declarative settings. However, does it also map the SQL to the dialects of the different RDBMS ? For example the way Oracle INSERT needs a identity column whereas SQL INSERT does not need an identity column .

Will DLINQ (i think this is a new product on the way from MS) help in this regard ?

No, it's up to you to provide the correct SQL dialect for the database you are using.
