SMtp works fine from company emailid to other emails.

If i send email from gmail id to other email id it is not working , According to some search we need to enable smtp or pop 3 setting in gmail accounts andkeep gmail email open.

Pop3 email reads company email ids. if it want to read gmail id we need to enable pop3 settings in gmail account

With out setting this in gmail can we send smtp or pop3

I am getting error smtp requires a secure connection or client was authenticated.the server response 5.5.1 authentication was required.

Without enabling gmail settings how to proceed.

I gave a look and you also have IMAP which allows to read mails and is enabled by default. So it seems you don't need to enable POP3 if you don't want to.

You had an authentication error when sending mail before enabling pop3 ? If yes, it could be related maybe to the https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6010255?hl=en option which would be enabled as well when pop3 is enabled ?
