  • During installation you can specify the directory for installation.

Could you uninstall RDS and specify the directory during installation?

    PS:

Generally it goes to the path that Gershon suggested, but you may have that path mapped to some other place or even another disk.

  • If the setup completed properly, RDS should be installed to:

    C:\Users\<user-name>\Microsoft Robotics Dev Studio 4

Where <user-name> is the name you use to login to the machine when you installed.

Can you please check that directory.

What operating system are you using?

Is it possible you installed RDS as one user and then logged in as another? (that could explain the missing links)

Were there any errors during the setup?

  • I have never heard of this problem before.  I will need some additional information from you.

    • What language of Windows are you using?
    • You tried both Windows8 and Windows7 and in both cases that folder does not exist?  Was this on different computers or the same computer?
    • Does the C:\Users\<username> folder exist?
    • Are you an administrator on the machine?
