VS 2013 Image Editor in Lightswitch

Question

Hallo,

Is the Image Edtor control is unavailable in this Community edition? For Image data table/column types this control is automatically assigned. But in Community edition, the control is not assigned and there it is not available ether -

Is this feature not available for this edition.

Do you use method like below to add image in Lightswitch?

If this issue is related to VS 2013 community environment, you could consider repair VS 2013 community, perhaps it can help fix it.

Hello,

The Add Image menu only adds static images. It can not be bound to column/data. I will try reparing as suggested.

I repaired the vs but no luck

I installed the Visual Studio 2013 Professional (Update 4), but the same issue with uploading images. I didn't had problem with Visual Studio 2011. Probably some update required for LS. 

I would probably buy VS 2013 Professional, but this is show stopper.

Did you enable the Microsoft LightSwitch Extensions? The Image Editor is in this extension.

Open the main LightSwitch project and then select Extensions and you should see the Cosmopolitan Shell and Theme + the Microsoft LightSwitch Extensions.

I just created a new project with 2013 and the Image Editor was available. When I disable the extension, I get the behavior you are seeing.

Thanks for reply. Yes, the extensions are selected

The issue was for Varbinary/Image data types, the Type is set as Binary. I changes that to Image, and it worked.
