How to integrate google maps in windows 8 store app using C# and XAML?

    Question

  • Hi,
I want to integrate Google maps in my Windows 8 Store app using C# and XAML. I don't want using HTML5 and JavaScript.
Anybody please help me to solve this? It would be great if someone  provide any sample for it.
    Regards,
    Santhosh

  • You'll need to ask Google for help with their map API: https://developers.google.com/maps/

It looks like they don't have direct Windows Store or Windows Phone support, so embedding their HTML API is probably the easiest way to get it to work in a Windows Store or Windows Phone app.

  • You'll need to ask Google for help with their map API. I doubt they provide a XAML control, but you may be able to host their HTML version in a WebView.

I'd recommend using the Bing Maps control instead. See http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh846481.aspx

  • Thanks Rob.

I have already worked with Bing maps, but now i need to integrate Google maps.

Is there any another way to get it rather than host HTML version in WebView?
