How do I link 2012 SqL Server tables to Access 2012? RRS feed

  • When I go to the ODBC import file type, select SQL Server I can create a DSN file, but the table shown are all system files. How do I get a list of the database tables to choose he ones to link to?

  • Hello,

    Based on your description, you want to import or link the SQL Server data of SQL Server 2012 in Microsoft Office Access 2010.  
    When create a new .dsn file with SQL Server driver in Create New Data Source Wizard and cilck Finish,
    the Create a New Data Source to SQL Server dialog box appears. You can specify the SQL Server instance you want to connect to and change the default database to a database you want to work with. And then you can import SQL Server data into new table on the Access database.
