Dual desktop/mobile solution RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a ready made desktop solution written with VS 2005/.Net 2.0, now migrated to VS 2008.

Now I want to develop a Pocket PC version with VS 2008. I can create a new project with sucess in the same solution.

Both applications will share at least 50% of classes, with some modifications according to platform, but I cannot use a desktop DLL to be added as a reference to the Mobile project. I understand this clearly. When I try to use Add Existing... option, the IDE creates a copy of the original file into the new project.

My question is: how to share some .cs files for 2 projects (one Desktop, one Mobile) in the same solution without creating a copy of it? I want to mantain just one .cs file for both projects. DLL is not an option, as explained.

    Thanks in advance,
