Selecting a Network via WES7 STB template RRS feed

  • Question

  • Having tested various embedded configurations I examined the STB template and worked on various customizations and plugins, etc. The one thing I noticed is that if I disconnected the ethernet cord and tried to connect to the Wireless Network, the only way I could accomplish this task was to bring up the Task Manager and open the Control Panel. If the embedded STB is designed for the average user it is not feasible that they would know how to do this or even have a keyboard/mouse connected to the STB. Is it possible to connect to a wireless network within Windows Media Center?

  • IMHO - sounds like an user friendly application is needed to setup wireless connectivity. It is a mater of design and how things one perseves the average user knows how to setup the STB.
