Cannot create Storage Account RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to create a storage account and am getting the following error when I type in the name in the "Enter a URL" box.

"The requested name has already been claimed and is no longer availiable"

The name I am trying to type in was in use in my MSDN subscription account, and I am trying to create the name in my company's software project account.  I deleted the storage from my MSDN account, and tried to add it in the project account.  It tried to let me, but I got an obscure error message (which I did not save).  Now I cannot create it under my MSDN account Id or the software project account Id.

Will this clear itself up?  If not, is it possible to get it removed so that I can add it back in?

  • If this has not been resolved yet, please provide information like account name etc. to Windows Azure support and they will be able to help you with this.

    Thanks,
