ADF along with SAP Data Services ? ADF integrate with SAP SLT tool RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are a SAP Shop and On Premise mostly. Can ADF onnect to existing SAP Data Services ? Can ADF connect to SAP SLT for real time data from ECC.

We use SLT to to real time replicate data from SAP source systems to HANA on premise? If we have to replicate same data to Azure then? Can ADF has that capability or can integrate with SAP SLt somehow?

  • Hello,

Although there is no SLT connector, ADF offers connectors to both HANA and ECC.

    HANA:

    ECC:

  • Thanks.

But these connectors using Service Run time along with SSIS .

Since we already have Data Services on Premise connected to source systems so want to Leverage that. Also , these connectors don't allow Real Time Replication.

Real time replication is SLT based in our landscape right now.

  • Hello,

We want to replicate data from SAP ECC/BW/HANA in real time or in batch mode to Azure SQLDW. SAP system does not provide delta information. So, ADF does not seems to be a relevant solution for us and we are also considering SLT.

What solution you are using in your case ?

    Thank you!

  • Hi Kunal,

With ECC and HANA, ADF has connectors as mentioned by Jason in the proposed answer. Please have a look at those. They might be helpful in your case as well.

  • Hello,

Can you share your experience what you did in your case to have the real time replication placed in Azure.

Sap bods can place files on to Azure data Lakes, but not sure how the performance would be for big tables like BSEG/BKPF.

    thanks,

    Sid
