What License Do I need?

    Question

  • Hi all,

I'm trying to figure out what tier license i have to use and purchase. The goal is to build is an internal interface for internal use in a company (it is over 100 employees total however my team who would be using it is only ~10). I would be the only license holder as well. Would professional license ($500) still work or would I have to request for an enterprise license ($6000). And what is the tipping point when I have to pick enterprise over professional?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

  • You can use Professional version if all the features you need for development are available in that version. Enterprise version has some more advanced tools that you may or may not want... the decision is yours.

However, each member of the development team that uses Professional edition need to also have a license. So if you have 10 members, you need 10 licenses. You can hold them in your own name if you like, if you expect staff turnover (as long as they don't take a copy with them).
