Cannot Use Task Scheduler in Windows Vista, MMC Unable to Create the Snap-In RRS feed

  • Question

  • I cannot use the Task Scheduler. When I open it, I receive the following message:

    MMC could not create the snap-in.

    MMC could not create the snap-in. The snap-in might not have been installed correctly.

    Name: Task Scheduler

    CLSID: FX:{c7b8fb06-bfe1-4c2e-9217-7a69a95bbac4}

    How can I fix this?

    PS: I am running Microsoft Windows Vista 64-bit (ENU) with Service Pack 2 (SP2) on an HP Pavilion dv5-1199eg Entertainment Notebook PC.
