Will Windows 9 use TDI for the Bluetooth RFCOOM implementation? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Since TDI is deprecated we should not use it any more. Ok! But currently we are implementing a kernel driver for Bluetooth profiles which need to filter some RFCOMM communications to allow our profile driver to coexist besides vendor profile drivers. Currently the Windows Bluetooth stack uses TDI for the RFCOMM implementation. So we need to filter the TDI driver and we cannot use the suggested alternatives Winsock Kernel (WSK) or Windows Filtering Platform (WFP).
Can someone of the Windows 9 development team give us some hit, if the TDI RFCOMM protocol will be replaced in the next Windows version? This would help us in planning our investments.

    Many thanks for your answer.
