• Question

I'm trying to execute a DATATABLE SELECT against a field which contains a date.  I need to SELECT rows for a single day, which I've tried using the clause SELECT("DBCreated < 10/1/2008 AND DBCreated > 10/3/2008").  However, I've had no luck with it.  The DBCreated field contains values such as 10/1/2008 10:10:20 AM.  What am I missing here?  Please help.

    TIA - John

  • Hey John,

I believe you need to write a slightly different Select statement here. I think I would write it more like the following

Select * from (TableName) Where (DBCreated < 10/1/2008 AND DBCreated < 10/1/2008). The one detail I'm unsure of is whether you need to put the dates in quotes or anything like that. The forum you have posted in doesn't deal with this type of issue however so I'm going to move this to the ado.net providers forum.

  • Should it be "DBCreated > 10/1/2008 AND DBCreated < 10/3/2008" ? Right now it would select all the dates except  three days - 10/01, 10/02 and 10/03
