WebAuthenticationBroker failure

    Question

  • Hi,

I'm trying to connect to an intranet server instance for oauth authentication using WebAuthenticationBroker for Windows Store app. Link looks like:

    https://***.internal.***.com:6101/?params

This was initially not working at all but I followed suggestions to enable Private Networking in the app, and also followed the fiddler suggestions on the page:

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/dn448955.aspx

Which allowed me to get a little further where I see our oauth login page flash up before hitting an error that the server can't be reached.

The WebAuth Eventviewer  log has following error:

AuthHost encountered a navigation error at URL: <https://***.internal.***.com:6101/?params> with StatusCode: 0x800C0503.

Anyone have any idea what the issue is or how to fix it?

    Thanks

    Avi

  • Hi Avi,

Let's say if you run the sample: Web authentication broker sample, will the same thing happen?

Read from your error message, looks like a firewall issue, could you try to disable the filewall both on your server and client to see if the navigation error still exist.

Anyway, if you are working for Microsoft, please use internal channel to solve the problem.
