About Win Runtime Component

    Question

  • Hi,

I am trying to built a Windows Runtime Component in C++. The component works fine with the test project (implemented in C#) in the same solution. But when I was trying to add the dll library as a reference to a individual C# project, an error was returned with message "A reference to '<my dll library> ' could not be added. Please make sure that the file is accessible, and that it is a valid assembly or COM component."

Does anyone know what did I miss in my component? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

    Alex

  • Did you add the components DLL to your project directory as content to be included in the app package?

  • Hi,

According to my experience (might be wrong), I should not need to add the components DLL to to project directory as content, but just add it as reference for the project. And I also tried to add it into project directory as you said. But unfortunately the problem is still there.
