Reportviewer chart dont show columns RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I have use a simple database with 3 columns
    id mon inform
    1 jan 45
    2 feb 12
    3 mar 71
    4 apr 29

And when I want to show this info at reportviewer - everything is ok.
But when I'm adding a chart and trying to show this info in chart I see only month titles, but no columns.

As I understand I should throw inform on data field of chart, and mon on category. So - it's what I'm doing.
As you see inform is integer field.
But when I trow him to chart it shows =Sum(Fields!inform.Value) is it ok?
I can not find example on to take a look.
What can be wrong? Can someone help me? please!

  • Oh, sorry!

When I have created a dataset - I have not mention that column is integer

    ds2 As New DataSet

    Dim dt As New DataTable("chartdb")

    Dim dc1 As New DataColumn("id")

    Dim dc2 As New DataColumn("mon")

    Dim dc3 As New DataColumn("inform")

    dc3.DataType = System.Type.GetType(

    For i As Integer = 0 To gra1.Length - 1

    Dim dr2 As DataRow = dt.NewRow

    dr2(0) = i

    dr2(1) =

    "jan" + i.ToString

    dr2(2) = gra1(i)

    So - line dc3.DataType = System.Type.GetType("System.Int32") was missing
