Bug in directionsManager.showInputPanel() function RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I've come across a bug in the bing maps v8 control.

The bug occurs when you put  a direction that doesn't exist into the input panels and then search. The search will then be stuck and the rotaing dots will appear forever. There should be a "no directions found" message displayed in this scenario.

You can repeat the bug by going to the following URL and entering a nonexistant address into the input box and search:

    https://www.bing.com/api/maps/sdkrelease/mapcontrol/isdk#directionsInputPanel+JS

Another issue we are having is that we use the http protocol so we can not get the users location in chrome since they only allow HTML5 geolocation on https. We would like to disable "my location" showing up in the search suggestions but after reading the documentation, it doesn't seem possible at this moment.
