A virtual file system RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm writing an application using .NET that utilizes access to various media, text, xml files and which is using browser classes (thus the problem with using the databases as I can't reference html files linking images etc). I would like to lock all the content (i.e. all the media and other content files) into one protected file (ideally a file system). Is there a way to do that using .NET without having to buy any expensive addons like CallbackFS etc? I would assume that that must have been done already. Alternative is there a good online hands on resource how I could create a kernel-mode filesystem driver that I could use from my .NET application? Thanks a lot for you help.
