VS 2019 - SSDT Extension installation Error RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I installed VS2019 with SSDT selected, but SSIS projects are not opening

    Now I run the installation of the "SSDT Extension" (From VS menu  >> Tools >> Manage Extensions >> Online )

    but I'm having the error:

    An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Attunity.SSIS.Odbc.Design,fileVersion="1.0.0.0",version="1.0.0.0",culture="neutral",publicKeyToken="0BE120C5AC16890A",processorArchitecture="MSIL"'. Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x80070020.

    Anyone with this Error&Solution before? Any non identified pre-requisite missing?

    Welcome to MSDN forum.

    According to your description, you are using Visual Studio 2019, please refer tothe link to check if you have a correct installation.

    In addition, refer to the error message, the error code “0x80070020” often means Windows Update error. You could refer to the following links to fix it:

    BTW, if the issue persists, I need your help to collect more installation logs. Please download and run this collect.exe tool, go to %temp% folder and find the vslogs.zip file, upload it to https://onedrive.live.com/ and share the link in here. Please clean up the personal information like Cookies and Password before you share your log.

    The S.O is Windows Server 2016 with latest updates applied. Your links are not related with it

    Refer to the information you provided, I found the error code “0x80070643” in your uploaded logs. As I know, it is usually caused by corrupted .NET Framework, please refer to the link to check the versions of your .NET Framework. You could try to use the .NET framework Repair Tool to fix it.

  • It turns out to be an issue with SSDT 3.4 on W2K16 (issue not observed on W10)

    Using  SSDT V3.3 the install completed just fine
