How to receive PointerWheelChanged events with thinkpad trackpoint?

Question

I have installed Lenovo ultranav driver and I can scroll with the middle key and the trackpoint in other apps. However, in my app, my CoreIndependentInputSource doesn't seem to receive PointerWheelChanged events when I hold the middle key and nudge the trackpoint.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
